Bathroom Remodeling : Thinks To Consider First

One of the best investments you can make in your home is bathroom remodeling. If you intend to sell your home sometime soon, consider doing a bathroom renovation to increase your home’s value. You don’t have to remodel your bath just before selling it. You can fix it up months before or even a year before you sell your home so you can also enjoy your new bathroom.

If you plan to sell your house within the next few weeks, renovating the bath will have great benefits. A new bathroom will catch the eye of critical home buyers. Most people are very particular of their bathrooms and a stained bathtub or cracked tiles on the floor will not be an appealing feature for most home shoppers. A good looking bath can make all the difference when decision time comes.

Having your bathroom renovated will also let you see some defects you have missed. If home buyers discover these problems, it will be a good reason for them to negotiate for a cheaper price. If you are not selling your home, bathroom remodeling can reveal leaks that could cause more damage in the future. Remodeling it will include fixing minor damages that can eventually become bigger and more costly problems.

When designing your bathroom renovation, make sure that the fixtures and design for the new room will go with the rest of your home design. It would look funny to have a brand new modern minimalist bathroom in a country home. After you get the right design for your new bath, it will be time to decide on other features such as installing heated tiles on the floors or putting in state-of-the-art shower fixtures that may cost a bundle.

Budget is another concern when fixing up your new bathroom. Consider the cost of materials such as ordinary tiles compared to the cost of natural stone flooring. Lighting can also add drama to your bath but can also be expensive accessories if you pick the latest technology in lighting fixtures. Consider using natural lighting and skylight to add both drama and a cost effective light source. Before buying costly new toilets and sinks, think if you can really afford splurging on expensive bathroom items.

Having your bathroom remodelled can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $30,000. Calculate the total cost of the bathroom you want versus the new bathroom you can really afford. Bathroom remodeling can still work without the expense of high-end bathroom fixtures. Use your creative talents to make your new bath look like an oasis but cost something you can still afford.

A good way to go about low-cost bathroom renovation is by consulting with professional contractors. These professionals can help you cut down costs by recommending cheap sources for bathroom fixtures and accessories. They can also make suggestions about the design to make you room look classy on a low budget. Another advantage to hiring a professional bathroom contractor is their ability to make your bath more eco friendly by using water saving shower and faucet fixtures.

Delta cartridge faucet: replaced both cartridges, still leaks. What now?

Delta bathroom sink fixture with separate hot and cold knobs. At least 20 years old. I replaced both cartridges with (what I thought were) the proper cartridges–I took them to Home Depot to compare–and at first everything was fine, although I really had to crank down on the knobs to get the faucet to stop dripping. Two months later I’m getting a steady drip. Since the cartridges are brand new, either they were the wrong ones or I installed them incorrectly. Any ideas? Thanks.

Public (bathroom) water safe to rinse coffee mug?

I go to a university and I am at the university from 9AM until 6:30PM.

In the morning, at home, I fill my coffee travel mug with coffee and drink it.

My university has a coffee shop. So when I need coffee later in the day, I buy a cup of coffee and go to a different location and then pour it from the cup to my mug so it stays insulated.
If I use my own mug, I get a discount and save $0.60 on a cup of coffee ($0.99 compared to $1.59).

Rather than take in a dirty mug into the coffee shop, I’d rather rinse it first.
The bathroom in my university’s library has a long faucet spout.
It is city water. Do you think the water would be safe/clean to rinse out my coffee mug?
Sorry could’nt find the right category to post this.

Furniture for Bathroom | Home Hardware Vanities

Contemporary bathroom faucets have evolved from plain, design-less fixtures into sleek, streamlined works of art. These new faucet designs are in direct response to the latest wave of cutting-edge contemporary bathroom design. As modern bathroom design advances, so does the look of bathroom faucets. A modern, state-of-the-art bathroom sink and vanity, for example, needs a more updated and contemporary bathroom faucet. As a result, bathroom remodelers now have a variety of faucet options to choose from.

Choosing Your New Contemporary Bathroom Faucet
If you’re going through a bathroom renovation and want the latest modern bathroom fixtures, you need to make sure everything matches, especially the faucet. As basic as a bathroom faucet may be, in many cases, it’s the faucet that ties your bathroom together. When selecting a contemporary bathroom faucet, you want to find one that is the right height and length for your new or existing sink. Contemporary bathroom faucets come in different shapes and sizes, giving you many options to choose from. The sink and vanity you select or currently have will dictate the height, depth, and shape of the bathroom faucet you need to get. Whenever you purchase a bathroom faucet, you must consider all components of the vanity set up (vanity/cabinet, sink, and faucet). Each element needs to work together in function and style if you want your vanity to have a cohesive look and feel. When shopping for your new contemporary faucet, always keep your vanity, sink, and new bathroom design in mind.

How to Pay Less for Your New Contemporary Bathroom Faucet
It’s true, the newer, more stylized contemporary bathroom faucets can cost a bit more than a run-of-the-mill faucet, but there are ways to save. Online bathroom furnishings wholesalers, such as www.modernbathroom.com, offer discount contemporary bathroom fixtures at prices that are significantly lower than most high-end bed-and-bath retail stores. These online wholesalers partner with manufacturers to get bargain-basement deals on everything from modern bathroom vanities to contemporary bathroom mirrors. Then, they pass the savings onto you, the consumer. If you purchase a faucet at the first place you look, you’re going to end up paying too much. If you want to save on your bathroom remodel, you need to shop around and definitely check out the online bathroom wholesalers.

Bathroom faucets no long look like they used to. Today, they’re highly stylized, sleek, and made of the highest quality materials. However, this new influx of contemporary bathroom faucets means higher prices for bathroom fixtures. That’s why if you want to save a few bucks on your bathroom remodel or faucet swap out, you need to find a retailer that offers discount bathroom faucets.

Modern Bathroom offers a wide selection of contemporary and highly stylized bathroom fixtures at amazing low prices. From discount bathroom faucets to state-of-the-art cabinets and shelf units, Modern Bathroom has the furnishings you need to transform your bathroom.
